Escape to the Ancient Heart of Cornwall

Self Catering House

Sleeping 12/14, this former artist’s residence, hidden away in private woodland and garden, is reminiscent of a slower more pensive way of life, offering plenty of space for a big group to be together, or for you to escape on your own.

There are four double bedrooms (two en suite), two twin rooms, and a further three bathrooms. An extra bed or cot can be added to any of the double rooms if required. Bed linen and towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.

An Aga keeps the family kitchen cosy while an electric hob and oven are provided for more precision cooking. There is also a dishwasher and large larder fridge, and in the utility, a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a TV, with Satellite, DVD player and surround sound music system in the lounge, and a wood burning stove should the nights get chilly. The conservatory, which leads off the lounge, opens onto the lawn where there are tables and benches, and a barbeque for outdoor meals.

Adjacent to the house, at the side of the garden, is the studio/games room which is equipped with overhead projector, Satellite, BlueRay player and sound system for cinema style viewing, and a table tennis table for those who want to be a bit more active. When not in use all the equipment is hidden away in cupboards leaving a clear open, space.

Beyond the garden, there is woodland and the fogou to explore. Follow well worn paths, many made by badgers, and one, trodden more by humans, which will direct you down through the valley to the local pub, the Wink, or on to the Cove where there is a small café overlooking the harbour beach and the waves rolling in across the Atlantic.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs at Rosemerryn, however they are welcome in the Cottage.
